The Alexander Hamilton High Senior High School dress code is discriminatory, misogynistic, sexist, fat phobic, and outdated. The language provided is offensive, and sexualizes the body of minors, specifically those who do not fit the beauty standard. It targets those who dress as a representation of their cultures, and objectifies the body of students in order to protect the reputation of pedophilic teachers, who should not be distracted by the clothing we wear. The needs of our students should be prioritized, instead of degrading us for what we wear and labeling our clothes as unprofessional. As our generation progresses, so should our dress code, as it should represent the diversity our school loves to flaunt.
