I love this space! I love attending events here, and my dog loves chasing a ball and sometimes rabbits here. Please don’t destroy this beautiful space

The public consultation process managed to attract nearly 200 submissions, but it appears many interested parties didn't know about the proposal and didn't have a say.

This resulted in our council voting to hold off on making a final decision until the new council sits in November.

Has this changed? Does everyone in Hamilton and surroundings now know about the proposal, and have they now all signed?

What is wrong with this council? Have they declared the Climate Emergency? If so, then this doesn't make sense if they want to get rid of green areas and trees (trees create rain), and then put down concrete and bitchumen, which absorbs heat and which in turn causes the rising of temperatures.

If they have not declared a Climate Emergency yet, we have to make them do this first!! We need all the green areas and trees we can get!!! Look at all that has been lost due to the horrific raging bushfires right now. Think of all the extra carbondioxide that had now been released into the atmosphere, because of the burnt trees.

Wake up, Hamilton Council!!! There are enough car parks and spaces. If there's a major lobby going on in your building by developers, let them make their money by investing in clean energy, (much more to be earned in that), instead of the rising of temperatures and the destruction of the planet, making it unliveable for everyone including themselves!!!! Your job description, dear councilmembers, states that you protect the citizens (voters who voted you into your current positions), and not help destroy their lives!!!!! Keep the lawn green!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think this area is too precious. Build a multi-storey close to the road if you must.
