Our community home in Hamilton East Memorial drive has been a hub of art, music and culture for close to 4 decades. It is the heart of a vibrant and creative community in Hamilton and the wider Waikato. This house has supported local, national and international creative practitioners of all types. Now our heritage-era community house is facing demolition. The removal of this creative hub would be a huge loss to many, especially our rangatahi looking for guidance and support. This is a place where people of all walks of life come together to share their experiences and values. Where we can express ourselves openly and be met with compassion, respect and aroha. It has been a place where people of all generations have come together to build strong creative communities. Please show your support of our home. We urge the Hamilton city council to urgently act on behalf of us to preserve this community resource!
