Halton District School Board Environmental Bill of Rights
0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!
Over 110 countries have an Environmental Bill of Rights in their constitution. Sadly, Canada is not one of these countries. The Blue Dot Movement is a group led by David Suzuki petitioning to change this. We need a Environmental Bill of Rights because the earth needs to be protected, conserved, and restored to provide sustainability and to protect the right to a healthy environment. Did you know that by 2020, global warming will have affected 65% of the natural habitat in Canada’s northern region? Oakville has already signed on with blue dot movement, but we want the entire Halton District School Board to join. This will bring Canada one step closer to having an Environmental Bill of Rights. 85% of Canadians already believe that we should have the right to a healthy environment and by having the Halton District School Board with us, it will bring all the schools together to have Environmental Bill of Rights. We need your help! Sign our online petition today and help us save our environment, and our earth. Thank you.
