Dear Hallmark Channel,
We are wondering if the people behind the all-famous Kitten Bowl are willing to team up with Nickelodeon in order to create a special episode in commemoration of Spongebob's creator, Stephen Hillenburg,
He passed away in late 2018 due to ALS, a condition in which his muscles became weak and started to deteriorate. On November 26th, he unfortunately succumbed to this horrible disease.
Hillenburg has brought joy to so many lives in ways that we could never possibly imagine. His creation sat the foundation of meme culture as we know it today. Spongebob has the earned the title of 5th longest animated series of all time, with the show still currently running to this very day.
We are beyond heartbroken that the Superbowl has let us down after discovering that Maroon 5 refused to play "Sweet Victory" during half-time show like we were promised, which gained the support of over 1.2 million fans. This man and his amazing creation deserve so much more than 5 seconds of fame.
We hope this day is sure to include fun events, such as a cosplay contest in which the competitors are dressed up as characters, have the big game itself set in a sea-themed stadium, and have the team names changed temporarily to reflect the characters of Spongebob (Team Sandy, Team Plankton, etc.) You can even name some of the cats after the cast of Spongebob if you don't already have names picked out for them.
This will bring much cheer to those who were so devastated the year before, and may even result in some of them finding their furr-ever homes! Just remember to have your production participate in this event in a pet-friendly way and exemplify your standards against animal cruelty. If you guys plan on doing the cosplay contest, make sure that the clothes are tailored to the cats needs before hand.
We hope that Hallmark is willing to give us the tribute this man deserves when the Superbowl didn't.
