Save London Fields Children's exercise area

There have been some complaints about adults training in the children's play area so Hackney Council are building a new exercise area for adults outside of the children's play area. This is great. However, they also want to remove the exercise bars in the playground. Lots of kids enjoy playing on the bars and using them for gymnastics and when I told some local children that they where going to be removed they where heart-broken.
Many children spend too much time eating junk-food and using screens. The bars in the children's play area provide a safe-space for children to learn about their bodies and get some exercise. Instead of removing the exercise bars, we want to adapt them to be more appealing to children. We can contact local primary schools to encourage kids to volunteer to get involved with designing and painting the bars to make them more appealing for children. If the children have had an active input into it will make them more motivated to use them. Safe training sessions can be organised by volunteers on a weekly basis to give the children some education about their bodies.
These bars have so much potential in the community and it would be a real shame to waste time, money and labor tearing them apart only to remove the children's access to them as children will obviously not be comfortable an an exclusively adult training area. Please sign the petition and help save the children's exercise area.
