LIFTING THE PICKUP TRUCK RESTRICTION
LIFTING THE PICKUP TRUCK RESTRICTION

Hello fellow neighbors!
I am in need of your help. As of the last few days I have been creating this petition in order to get pickup trucks off of the restricted list in the H.O.A. rules and bylaws. This rule has personally affected me since my personal car is a pickup truck. Upon receiving parking violations for having a pickup with no cap, I was told by the H.O.A. that not only could I not park in my own personal spaces but I would have to park outside the community even though I would still have to pay parking fees. Unfortunately I have to burden family members with allowing me to use their cars, even though I have my own that I am not allowed to have in my own residence. I know I am not the only resident to have similar issues like this occur in our community.
I understand the need of keeping homes and vehicles looking neat and clean for the community but, telling residents what they can drive, forcing residents to park out of the community, and/or altering their vehicles to appease the H.O.A. is an impediment on people's personal choice of transportation and livelihood.
Here are some solutions I believe could remedy this situation:
1. Allow all non-commercial/personal pickup trucks to stay over night with bed covers on the bed.
2. Pickup trucks should not be altered in height or width.
3. Pickup trucks should not take up more space than what a parking spot provides.
Please sign this petition if you agree that there are clearly some H.O.A. rules that need to be revised and overturned. Let's start by saving the pickup trucks that belong to our neighbors and friends in this community.
