Sri Lankan MPs must declare "I am not a dual citizen" by affidavit

In April 2015 - 19th amendment was passed.
Article 92(b) and Clause 20(4) of the 19th amendment & Article 91 (1) (d) (xiii) of the Constitution says persons who are dual citizens are disqualified from being elected as MPs or the President.
The President is requested to ask all MPs to present affidavits from 225 MPs in Parliament reconfirming they are not dual citizens while the Elections Commissioner is bound to liaise with foreign ministry/immigration authorities & establish that MPs are not dual citizens.
If 19a debars anyone dual citizens from filing nominations to contest Parliamentary elections/election as President then it should also mean that anyone in Parliament who is a dual citizen should lose his/her MP status too.
We trust that the President / Election Commissioner & all others tasked to uphold 19a will canvass for 225MPs to present affidavits reconfirming they are not dual citizens.
