“ through the first few months of 2021, gun fire killed more than 8100 people in the United States about 54 lives lost per day”(washingtonpost) gun violence is a huge social issue in our world. It is a conversation that we push beside us it’s time to use our voices and take action in accountability to realize that gun violence has really taken a toll on everyone’s community with either racial profiling health line social lines are economic lines gun violence has played a role everywhere. Gun prevention isn’t about getting rid of guns it’s about creating safety plans\training in our community’s. It’s time to see that we need to make change and it’s starts here.

how can we protect our community?

buy a gun like you buy a car- “Missouri’s 2007 repeal of its permit-to-purchase handgun law was associated with a 25% increase in firearms homicide rates”(time.com) that is 25% of homicides we could have avoided with time and change

Invest in safety-“Every year, nearly 1,300 children die from guns and many more are seriously injured”(nationwide children’s). The majority of gun violence is accidental mainly with children, and the majority of the children always know where the guns are stored. If we want to protect our children we need to educate them on the dangers of own guns and pros about owning one 

this petition is to acknowledge how gun violence has affected us, but to also support business all around to help create safety within our community. We need to speak up so we can be heard and get our message translated and developed
