Esther Rantzen, on her long running television series That's Life!, used to present a 'Jobsworth Award for obstructionism beyond the call of duty'. I do realise that the GWR have a reputation to uphold but they do seem to be setting themselves up as prime candidates. Whilst I entirely agree that they must be seen to uphold that reputation, if the run was as well supervised as stated, there must be some way around this difficulty to provide the necessary proof.

Have you thought about doing it again and/or making it an annual fund raising event, or some such, to draw the crowds?
