Currently there are two roads (Cascades Drive and Farmstead Drive intersection) in which Cascades Drive is a new road in the neighborhood housing development now called Homestead Cottages HOA. Originally, a stop sign was placed at the end of Cascades Drive, at the intersection with Farmstead Drive, but sometime in 2021, the stop sign was moved and placed at only one direction on Farmstead Drive, with Cascades Drive extended to Fairway Drive West. At present, vehicles traveling on Fairway Drive West that turn immediately onto Cascades Drive can continue onto Farmstead Drive, crossing possible oncoming traffic.  With that small part of Farmstead Drive renamed Cascades Drive, the yellow line in the middle of Cascades Drive should have been extended to Fairway Drive West.  Please note that the community mailboxes are also at this intersection.  This creates much pedestrian traffic, and there have been several near misses.  Another Stop Sign, southbound on Cascades Drive, would help to slow down traffic.    As concerned residents, we request Guilford Township revisit their previous decision at this intersection and make it safer for all residents of our neighborhood. Mistakes do happen, and although your Engineers finalized their decision, we the residents of Homestead Cottages strongly ask for a safer intersection.
