Hwy 26 going through Marion and Chattahoochee Counties has been a place of many lives being taken needlessly. This road was already very dangerous and now it is even more dangerous since trees have been cut back. With them being cut back it leaves very steep and dangerous ravines with nothing to stop a vehicle who may run off the road. Some of these ravines are so deep there are tops of trees almost at the height of the road. Many people ride this road daily. A fear of mine has been that someone would have an accident and no one would be able to see them. This happened very recently to a young man whom I don’t know, but this lies very heavy with me. My heart is heavy for his family, friends and loved ones. Something needs to be done to make this road safer. Guardrails need to be placed in these steep spots. It must be done! No one else’s life needs to be taken in this way. Please join me in this petition for change!!! Thank you.
