Help OC Food Bank Bring Diapers to Babies in Need

Help OC Food Bank Bring Diapers to Babies in Need

One in three families struggle to afford diapers.
In Orange County, with its extraordinarily high housing costs, there are many families who are struggling to make ends meet. They work in the service industry at jobs that do not pay a living wage and oftentimes need help making ends meet.
Babies without clean diapers are exposed to more healthcare risks. Daycare facilities require parents provide a full days worth of diapers. The inability of parents to be able to afford diapers can threaten their childcare, which also threatens their employment.
With your support, we can receive funding to help establish a high impact Diaper Bank in Orange County thanks to a State Appropriation. Fresno, Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco have already been awarded to provide diapers to low-income families with infants and toddlers. We need your help with helping our families in Orange County, who despite its reputation of affluence, ranks 58th in income inequality among the 150 largest regions in the U.S.
In Orange County we need 152,075,790 diapers every year for babies in need. Our Diaper Bank currently raises 750,000 diapers, which isn't enough to meet the need.
By signing this petition, you are letting Sacramento know that Babies in Orange County are just as important as anywhere else. Thank you for supporting Community Action Partnership of Orange County's OC Food Bank and its efforts to uplift and support families in the community. Together, we can help create a Diaper Bank that will serve low-income families throughout Orange County.
