Our 16th President Rodrigo 'Roa' Duterte aims to stop or decrease the case of
drug and criminality in our country, and his unconventional style of governing
that uses extrajudicial killings give peace for the dead, not for the living.

Its been 14 months since President Duterte did his inauguration speech. There's already been a lot of changes happen in the Philippines. There are over 7,000 deaths, both from legitimate police operations and vigilante-style or unexplained killings, and still the number of victims of Extrajudicial Killings is rapidly growing.

All of us wanted to have peace in our country, and cease crimes that has been rapidly increasing. We all know that this Extrajudicial killing thing happens, to prevent or to decrease those people who are a drug addict. But does this shoot to kill thing is helping our country to prevent such crime ? or it just violence of law of the humanity?

There's a lot of victims already, most of them are poor, so there's gonna be a low possibility of justice for the victim. If it happen that the person they kill is not the one who did the crime, or just a mistaken identity, its going to violent the law of humanity. Cause the person they were looking for and the person they kill is a two different person. The person who is a civilian one will be dead, and even if they tell their sorry's or do a further more investigation for the mistake, the reality will never
change and that person will remain dead. I'm saying this cause most of the cases that is happening, has an inadequate amount of information.

It's such a dirty act to prevent drugs by another crime as well, isn't it? Even if that person is positive for using drugs or has proven to do that crime, still killing them in a tragic way is inhumane. That man is still a person, he has feelings and emotions like us.

To tell you the truth this war on drugs, exceed the allotted amount given for this campaign but still they were increasing their budget for over a Hundred billion.

This 'war on drugs' also affects the life of the youth, their lives became in danger. With a single bullet, a single glimpse, their dreams suddenly disappeared. All the things they've wanted in the future suddenly disappeared. All the things that their parents worked for became nothing. According to our national hero, Jose Rizal, "Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan", how are these youth become our hope if we're already ending their lives?

People who agree with extrajudicial killing said that it is the only way to make Philippines a better country. “There is no silver bullet to all our problems, even those in Metro Manila, but I will look for solutions” president Duterte said. He, himself said that not all crimes in this country will be solved by killing all criminals, why don’t he try looking for other solution for this problem. There is no way to remedy the occasional mistake in extrajudicial killing. What will happen when the mistake is discovered after a man has been executed for a crime he did not commit?

Application of the extrajudicial killing tends to be arbitrary and capricious; for similar crimes, some are sentenced to death while others are not. It cannot be limited to the worst cases.

Remember, Christ would oppose the killing of a human being as punishment for a crime; this view is supported by the New Testament story about the woman who faced execution by stoning (John 8:7, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." ) You see every one of us have sinned. In Exodus 20:13 “You shall not murder” is one of His 10 commandments. I am not minimizing the reality of crime that occurs within our society, but when someone commits such a grievous crime such as murder, I do not believe that they should have their own life taken from them. I agree with life in prison without parole is reasonable, but lethal injection is not right. It is revenge. Revenge is terrible, Romans 12:17 in the bible, says: “Never pay back evil for evil, if someone is truly evil, they will feel the wrath of God!”

To me, life is sacred. We have no right to terminate a person just because he committed a crime. We, ourselves also is not that righteous and pure to take one’s life. No man is perfect. Thus, death is too good for the criminals. They should be tortured for the rest of their lives. Death is way too quick and simple. Innocent people unfortunately always get the punishment for some reason while the criminals just get away with it. It's not fair. Torture is the best and most suitable punishment. Also it is not worth taking the risk of accidentally executing the wrong person. And, the only one who has the right to take life is God himself.

Now, do you think this Extrajudicial killing is helpful for us and better for our country ?
