Desperate renovations needed at the M12 Sports Hall at Griffith University

Students at Griffith University have access to some of the best resources on the market, whilst also being left with some that are below average. The M12 Sports Hall is one of the latter. The hall is in desperate need of renovation, which includes walls being painted, floors being polished, a digital scoreboard and replacement of some doors and locks that are starting to wear. Perhaps most of all though, is the need for a better and stronger cooling system. During hotter months, the hall exceeds outside temperatures making physical workshops almost unbearable at times. If Griffith were to invest money into this hall, it would benefit not only students, but provides opportunity for social sport run by Griffith Sport to be improved, as well provide a place for outside sporting groups to practice, thus bringing more funds back into Griffith Sport to help with the maintenance of this venue. As a venue that gets used for almost all of the physical workshops at the Mount Gravatt campus, this hall needs to be brought into the 21st century - we know this needs to happen when the bathrooms seem more modern than the hall itself.
