$1,500 Rent Credit

$1,500 Rent Credit
Why this petition matters
MidMain Lofts has been subject to several inconsistencies and issues with management in the year of 2020. It seems as though the company does not invest in their rental property to keep it to the standards by which they market to their prospects to get lease agreements signed. This is not acceptable.
Many things have been out-of-order and have went unfixed for several weeks at a time and are consistently breaking down. These things include: all elevators (especially the freight elevator), the dog park water fountain, electricity/plumbing issues, resident garage parking gate, the turf grass is worn and out of place, etc.
Detailed Issues: Residents and their guests have been trapped in the elevators on numerous occasions. Alarm malfunctions have occurred to where residents would have to spend 3-4hrs outside of their homes until it has been resolved. Many units are for Airbnb guests and some have harassed residents, stolen, etc. There is lack of security in that the homeless infiltrate the stairwells to urinate and spend time on level 4 amongst the common areas. Lack of sanitization in the common areas throughout the complex (no cleaner in the gym, no sanitizer for hands upon entering the complex, etc. which enables the spread of COVID for the residents). The elevator issue is especially important because there are handicapped residents that rely on the elevator for transportation and for the simple fact that residents need to move things, bring groceries home, in case of injuries, etc.
There is a reason most residents at MidMain don’t extend their leases after their initial term. Those that do, complain until they’re gone.
The very least MidMain and Greystar could do is compensate residents with rent reductions in the form of a $1,500 credit to put towards their account balance. Current residents should not have to pay luxury apartment pricing for sub-par quality and treatment. If you’re a resident, sign this now!
