Greyhound take better charge of your baggage handling

On a trip from Los Angeles to Wheeling WV, with no transfers, I stayed on the same bus the ENTIRE time only to arrive and my bag is gone. There were Christmas presents in there and things that I cannot replace. Trying to find out who to contact at Greyhound took several jumps through three different phone calls only to be told it's in the system they will call me. It has been a week. If the bag is gone, fine take responsibility and say so do not lead customers on with false hope. If there is a general window where a bag might be found, say so. There is no statement of this on their website or through multiple thorough online searches. This was a trip with no transfers and Greyhound a company with a very long history cannot manage to leave one bag on the bus until my destination is ridiculous enough to begin with. Most travelers accept that things can and will happen but to lead people on is not fair and is very disrespectful.
