I would like to see a change in this matter. The reason is this can affect a person in all aspects of his or her life. Such getting employment or trying to obtain a professional license. This also is a non violent matter. It should not be a felony. A individual should bare full responsibility but not a harsh punishment. A misdemeanor or lesser action should be sufficient. Considering it’s not a violent crime. I’m very sure it’s a better way. Such as submitting non payment to credit report etc… It also needs to capped. If a person has a certain amount of children he or she should be capped on what’s the most they can pay. It also needs to be set rates on monthly payments. The reason for this is you never know about your job because anything could happen. Example’s Downsizing which can affect your pay check. Hour’s being cut or layoff. If any of these happens you can end up owing because you can’t afford the payment. You probably wondering why I care about this. Because I’m a tax paying citizen at 44 years old I fell ill an end up owing back payment’s I could not make. They wanted to lock me up. Mind you I have no criminal record. So can you get on board with me? Let’s change this!!!
