I feel there are so many families including myself and my family who have been affected poorly by cps and foster care in Michigan. I believe as well as many others, that so many family and homes are broken for the wrong reasons. There are children out here in the world being beat daily, molested daily, sometimes even killed and cps turns a blind eye but are so quick to take children when a mother made a bad decision. Then decide based of an opinion not Facts or PROOF that the mother can't care for all her children even after completing all services asked,and seeking proper housing because she's a single mother with children with higher needs (one with special needs) who have only been with their mother their entire life, without being given the chance to show she can do it. It's not fair to the parents or children in any situation like that, it becomes more traumatizing for the children and families, there has been so much negligence on foster cares behalf as well and I think change needs to happen. I hope maybe getting the word out there can get the job done properly so less families are suffering. I myself am going through this as we speak I've done everything everything asked but becuase I have a child that is special needs they are saying it's IMPOSSIBLE for a single mother to care for multiple children.
