The ability to provide a sustenance for oneself and one's family is one of the most basic human rights. The various Executive Orders of Governor Whitmer enacted since March 23, 2020 are prohibiting Michiganders from making a living and crippling our economy in ways that will take years to recover from.

The economic repercussions of prolonged economic shutdown will be far more dangerous to the health and well being of Michigan residents than a virus which 98% of the infected will recover from. We believe the government response to the Covid-19 threat is a draconian hysteria that is more damaging than the virus it is meant to combat. 

Her rule by decree violates fundamental American civil liberties by unprecedented restrictions on human movement, recreation, and human activity. In a short time she has made herself a virtual dictator over every aspect of our lives.

We call on Governor Whitmer to end the shut down and allow social and economic life to return to normal while implementing more reasonable methods to fight Covid-19 that center on selective isolation of at-risk populations. We also call on the Legislature to pass bills restricting the scope of the governor's emergency powers.
