Have UT pay for the cost of textbooks
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
The average student at the University of Texas at Austin is struggling with the cost of going to school, let alone the price of the vast amount of textbooks required for classes. These books, even when obtained online can still cost around $100, and when you factor in the fact that some professors require multiple books and that full-time students take a minimum of 32 classes, that is a lot of money spent on books that are used for a mere semester. By signing this petition students will show their support for the idea of having the the cost of textbooks be taken from the payment made for tuition at the university, therefore having books provided for each class by the university, rather than having teens pay out-of-pocket for a book that will be used for only several months.
