Sarah Hosken started this petition to Greg Hunt (Minister for Health) and

I would like to ask Mr Morrison and Mr Hunt to take into consideration and approval of transferring interstate Medical records for treatment of all mental health patients (if required)

In 2014 I was luckily transferred from NSW to Qld mental health facilities. Allegedly only patients who are going interstate are leaving treatment.

I hope to achieve the availability of transferred files for all who wish to leave states within Australia during treatment so treatment is continued with mental health and make it clear that not all patients are leaving treatment process and continued recovery.

Health records were hard to transfer between the two states as allegedly I would be leaving available treatment but luckily I had mine transferred and would like to help others do so in the future so treatment is continued and the recovery process is there for all to use no matter which state in Australia.

The importance of the treatment process is very close to me and I believe everyone in Australia should be eligible for transfer of files when moving to a new state while under treatment.

Please sign this petition for your support to make it easier for mental health patients to be easily transferred from state to state within Australia to still be able to receive treatment from mental health facilities within our country. This will assist with less repetitiveness of scenarios to drs, psychologists and psychiatrists within the industry which may make it hard for some patients to experience.
