Royal commission now, and implement the findings, like should be done with banking etc. Corrupt government supporting corrupt corporations must be stamped out. Federal ICAC with real teeth now!

I am an aged pensioner with basic health insurance @ $ 160,00 per month it is a struggle for me to pay. I go without essentials to afford it & wish it would be more reasonable at $100.00 a month would be easier.
Surely the Federal government can control this better.

This is corruption of a working system by a cruel and unusual government that is not in the interests of the people.

I am not a health insurance holder. It is the biggest scam of all the insurances. The industry needs reviewing as there seems to be no strict regulation on price rises or rights of customers.

My premiums went from $17 to $108 a month with no changes to my cover, which I now cannot afford. GMHBA won't return my calls and emails to cancel my membership. I'm going hungry each week to pay for a Health fund I've never used!!!

Health insurers use bullying tactics together with misleading the public through there “preferred provider schemes” which suggests that they look for the best and brightest professionals to provide their customers with quality. Instead it attracts the insecure junior therapists or those therapists who are happy to bulk bill at a ridiculous rate but then see multiple patients at once. They also dictate and set the fees which I believe contravenes the trade practices act. Not to mention encouraging patients to write testimonials and post them publicly which then we can be in trouble from APHRA for having a public testimonial even though we played no part in it. Look at NIBs Whitecoat for example.
Now we find out they have additionally flaunted the law re pre existing conditions. It’s time the truth came out.
