The number of COVID cases in Whatcom county are currently at an all time high. With the lack of vaccinations available for children under the age 12, putting kids back in school is reckless and a disregard for human safety. We are asking for the Greg Baker and the Bellingham school district to reconsider in-person learning and to have kids go back to online learning. Having kids back in school shows that Greg Baker does not care about the health and safety of students but instead only cares about the stakeholders in our education system, as opposed to the parents and children in our community. If you truly believe "the whole child is important" then you will seriously reconsider in-person education.
