Everyone makes mistakes in life; yet, many minorities are the ones to suffer the most. Having alternative rehabilitation for them can be the different of being successful and being able to take care of you family or on the other hand not having the resource to take care of your family and having to resort to desperate activities to survive which then puts them at risk for recidivism. Support our goal in wanting to decrease the incarceration rate in the United States. Finding alternatives to incarceration would help bring down rates and give minority groups who committed non-violent offenses an opportunity at improving their well-being. Rather than going to prison, they should be given the right to attend programs that will help with rehabilitation.
