Governor Abbott, at this point in the Lone Star State’s response to Covid-19, it has become painfully obvious to most Texans, your supporters included, that many of the restrictions set forth by your office are arbitrary, ineffective, and glaringly prejudiced against certain industries.

For a governor who purports to support free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and small businesses, our governor has held his boot to the throats of too many small business owners for too long. Businesses are failing, bars are being bankrupted, tattoo artists have been out of work for months.

Covid cases in the state have declined.

Daily new cases have declined.

Daily deaths have gone down.

Business owners have done everything that Governor Abbott hath decreed.

The governor is out bird hunting, while many business owners are waiting around to find out if they’re going to lose everything, or just what has already been taken from them and the futures of their children.

You have gone too far. Open the Lone Star State. Some businesses may survive yet.
