With the workforce only able to handle about 100k calls a day but 800k calls coming in per day it is NOT RIGHT that claims are only payable from the day you file.  People are trying to file and can NOT get through.  I'm asking people to sign this petition for the governors of all states and the president to change so benefits are payable from the last day you worked or were able to work due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and NOT the day you were fortunate enough to get through to file a claiim.  Please sign this and share share and share.  Even with landlords, utility companies etc. giving extensions  there will still be major financial burdens due to the time people were unemployed yet unable to get a claim filed.  Those bills are NOT going away just because people can't work nor can they file for unemployment.
