Halloween. It’s a day of fun, for kids and adults alike. Now, kids stay up relatively late for Halloween, out trick-or-treating, or at Halloween parties. Early adolescents/ and or kids need about 8 hours of sleep. Think about the following statement; Most elementary schools in Texas start at about 8. Most Junior High schools in Texas start at about 9. Most High-schools start at about 7:30. These times are estimated, and can be off by a little bit. Just by glancing at this, you can tell schools start pretty early down here. 5 days a week too.

  Like many of the schools in Texas, my local school district does various presentations and power-points about how students need lots of sleep to be able to concentrate effectively in classes. Schools contradicting themselves isn’t exactly what people call sensible.
