Texans and Concerned Americans,
Welcome to your taxpayer dollars at work.
Ranch Good Days (RGD) is a nonprofit 501c3 organization that sponsors programs to aid teen girls with disabilities including equine assisted therapy, Christ-based boarding schools, and ministry to aid in the girls healing. Located in Central Texas RGD has local programs to help families with teen girls who are working to overcome traumatic experiences in their lives as well as PTSD which often accompanies such trauma.
Ranch Good Days has been seeking to become an accredited boarding school in order to further their program. A letter sent to CPS last year is still sitting on a desk in Austin and has never been answered. Unfortunately there are those in Austin who seem to be working against them...to the point of stalking, unauthorized video-taping and harassment.
Recently, a young girl from the RGD program was pulled out of class during a STAR testing day, by a representative of the licensing / accreditation agency and subjected to extended questioning. This was done without notification to or the permission of this child's parents / guardians and without notification to or permission of Dr. Donna Otabachian, the director of Ranch Good Days. This young girl, already trying to overcome past trauma, wad left feeling intimidated and bullied by this intrusive questioning. Questions were reported about Dr Donna, not her.
If you feel that the licensing and accreditation process should not involve the harassment and illegal questioning of a minor child then I would encourage you to contact the Texas Attorney Generals office and request that they investigate this matter and that proper disciplinary action be taken against the individual in question. We also wish the investigation include a answer as to why the letter that was sent asking how the Ranch is to proceed to become licensed is still sitting unanswered after several months.
For names and details, please join the Ranch Good Days page...and while you are there, please let Dr. Donna know that you support her mission. May God bless us all!
