Improve Government Funding for Arts Education in Public Schools
This petition had 39 supporters
In our current society, funding for after-school programs such are choirs, art clubs, theatre plays, film societies, and other fine art programs has dropped. Some schools are beginning to completely cut the arts from their curriculum. This puts an entire demographic of creative individuals at a disadvantage. I would like to see support for a growth in government funding for programs that encourage creativity and individualism. The arts encourage leadership, self expression, good work ethic, and provide a healthy and positive emotional outlet. The current presidential budget cut plan including cutting the arts down. If you disagree with this action and would like to see a change, I encourage you to sign the petition. Help to encourage creativity rather than limiting it.
