It’s important, and should be taken seriously, if you are not doing it for you, do it for the immune compromised, children, elderly, your loved ones… the list goes on really.

My 8 year old granddaughter wears a mask anytime she leaves home because she is scared of infecting someone, especially her grandparents. I’m hoping petitions like this one will change Abbott’s mind and lead to more masks in schools.

My son also has Asthma and will be starting 6tg on his 11th birthday, too young to vaccinate. Emotional health is just as important as physical health. He NEEDS to be in class with teachers and peers and it needs to be safe.

Wearing masks is the best way to keep our kids safe and be able to go to school in person.

I am signing this because I feel every child has the right to safely attend school. This is the time that the governor shows compassion towards the most vulnerable and unvaccinated rather than pursuing any political agenda.

Kids and teachers deserve to be safe in public schools, and this will help slow the spread of covid again.

I care about the students and staff of RRISD. Please offer a safe learning environment for all. The easiest way to do this is for everyone to wear masks. For those who choose to not wear a mask, let them learn from home.
