HIPPA LAWS have interfered in families, girlfriends, boyfriends unmarried persons should not be allowed to deny access to siblings, children or elderly parents with an illness. We as an immediate family member should have the right to call and ask for status on our family. Covid-19 has taken many lives and our loved ones have died alone. We the people should have choices not have them taken away because of childish grudges. That people have over bad relationships. We have rights and should not be dictated by the HIPPA LAWS, I understand they are set to protect us but when is it going beyond that point. I've seen children died alone without their parents because of covid-19 but all it takes is hazmat to be offered to be able to hold them or sit by them so their not alone. I've heard elderly people say I just want my family I don't want to die alone. Family is important but so many rights have been taken sway because hospital just don't want families in the way or asking 100 questions that they should already be able to ask. We lost our mother to covid-19 on October 8, 2020 it was the hardest thing I have ever had to face. Now my young brother is in ICU in an induced coma and we are forbidden on getting information,  we need to edit and change these HIPPA LAWS
