Clementine Rico-Ragland started this petition to Greenville County School District

The daily pong is a website created by the  students of Greenville Middle Academy as a form of comedic relief. It helps build creativity and independent thinking. Or, at least, it did.

Greenville middle academy's school administrators have taken it upon themselves to not only ban the daily pong, but to force it's creator to remove it all together. Even revenge of the daily pong, a credit to the determination and resilience of the pong and its creators, has been deleted because of false accusations of it being a distraction, or inappropriate for school use.

The pong has taken every precaution to make it school appropriate. Their memes and community board are pg13 at the most. Their articles are comedic without being offensive. The link was shared with anyone who asked. The creator even wrote an article requesting that students not use the daily pong while in class and to "pong responsibly".

Gma claims to focus on writing and journalism, but their failure to adhere to their own ideals shows a lapse in judgement. If their focus is writing and journalism, then how is it that a few ambitious student's embodiment of that focus is disregarded and thrown away when it should be celebrated.

Please sign this petition and help to bring back a well loved website made for students, by students. Our education should not come at the price of our happiness.
