Greensboro City Council: Support Safe and Healthy Housing in Greensboro

Everyone deserves a safe place to live. But, for those living in substandard housing, that’s just a dream. Suffering from illness and injury as a result of uncorrected repairs, they look forward to the day when the City of Greensboro will enforce existing penalties within its own ordinance. Substandard housing poses not only health and injury risks, but impacts neighborhood safety and property values.

The City of Greensboro has a responsibility to enforce all existing penalties on property owners who fail to comply with repair orders. We also ask that additional provisions to strengthen property maintenance requirements be adopted.
