As you may already be aware, one pupil has already sustained significant injuries due to these seats which are not fit for purpose being so close to an area which can be slippy and the children are especially boisterous there as they feel it is a safe place for them to play. Let's use our common sense and have these removed before another child gets badly hurt. Please see below a message I received from the little girl's big sister......to give people an idea of how badly she has been injured...."
"I understand a lot of people have the view children can't be wrapped up in cotton wool, however if the risk can be reduced for all our wee vulnerable kids it should be! I was with Emily Jo through it all and watched her suffer the pain see her face, have the strongest pain relief, see her teeth knocked up to her gums and may need further surgery if they don't come down and sat up all night with her! There is no exaggeration of how bad it was, all the mums dad's who didn't sign I respect your choice but if it was your kid your view would be similar to mine, thanks everyone xxx Just to add as my prior post didnt clarify all of my little sister's injuries, she had to get put under before theatre to get her mouth cleaned, check the inside of her lip to make sure there was nothing inside it, had teeth put that was knocked below her tongue too, three lots of stiches a row outside her mouth where the box seats went through her lip, a row inside her mouth and her lip stitched, huge price to pay for some solid wooden boxes (seats) planked on a very slippery surface, please try & help by signing if you have concerns xxx
