We the Parents of Greendale, WI urge the Greendale School Board and Greendale School District to allow parents to choose what is right for our families.  We are currently advocating for masks to be optional for the 2021-2022 school year and to allow parents the choice of what is best for their child.

For decades, science has proven the shortcomings and inefficacy of cloth and medical masks for the general public. At the onset of the pandemic we were told as much - “There’s no reason to be walking around with a mask. When you’re in the middle of an outbreak, wearing a mask might make people feel a little bit better and it might even block a droplet, but it’s not providing the perfect protection that people think that it is. And, often, there are unintended consequences — people keep fiddling with the mask and they keep touching their face.” -Dr. Fauci

The negative impact on our kids far outweighs the risks associated with them, not to mention psychological impacts. Our mental health crisis is growing exponentially with many of the newest victims being children. To continue to REQUIRE mask use is unlawful, unhealthy and immoral.

Mask wearing should be a CHOICE and not FORCED.  We encourage the Greendale School Board and Greendale School District to allow parents the freedom to make an informed choice for their own children this school year. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANYONE to make medical decisions for our children but ourselves.
