Green Space and Clean Air for Brooklyn!
This petition had 305 supporters
The Southside Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn has amongst the lowest green space per capita of any community in NYC. The Human Impacts Institute (www.HumanImpactsInstitute.org) is calling for support and funding for City Councilwoman Diana Reyna's proposal to deck over sections of the Brooklyn Queens Expressway to create parkland, reduce air pollution, and help curb climate change in NYC!
Just as Manhattan's Highline Project has been such a success in terms of environmental impact, beautification, and revenue, we are asking for your support and funding for the BQE Greening Project.
Help green and clean our community!
