Packers Sign Colin Kaepernick
0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!
The Packers just lost Aaron Rodgers for a considerable length of time with a broken collarbone. Brett Hundley has been groomed to take over the team in such a citsumstsnce, but the Packers are devoid of any sort of reliable backup to Hundley. Kaepernick has proven to countless NFL experts, like Hall of Famer Cris Carter, that he is in excellent football shape and is ready and able to contribute to an NFL team still. Kaepernick's kneeling during the national anthem has contributed greatly to a necessary dialogue about the problems of racial discrimination in the USA, and several current Packers stand (and kneel) behind this cause. The need for a quality backup is far greater than the possible distraction Kaepernick would cause on the team, and his abilities and contributions should be recognized by Ted Thompson signing him to be the Packers new #2 quarterback during Rodgers' absence.
