Direct Wellington Zoo/Wellington Railway Station Bus Service

Prior to the 2018 Bus changes we had a direct trolley bus service to Wellington Zoo from the Railway Station, being the number 10 during the Week and we had the number 23 on the Weekends. Since July 2018, there has been no direct service to the Zoo anymore, instead you have to catch High Frequency bus to Wellington Hospital then catch a feeder bus from Wellington Hospital to the zoo, a journey of 1.5km. A common concern is that bus being missed, which adds half an hour to your trip. Other concerns is that people do not use public transport to the zoo, instead using there cars which in turn add traffic congestion to our roading network.
Also side note, the 23e bus, which is a peak extension bus has a common issue of being full beyond capacity, to Newtown Park then after Newtown Park, empty really quickly implying many people of South Newtown are using the 23e to get home who would of use the number 10 prior to the change, limiting those catching the number 23e beyond Newtown, being able to join once departing Wellington Railway Station
We want to have a half an hour frequency bus route, like the number 10 or an extension to bus routes that terminate currently from Courtney Place to continue through to the Zoo. Bus Routes that are suitable for extension, 81, 83, 52.
