John Plaskett started this petition to Great Yarmouth Borough Council and

Great Yarmouth council are planning to develop land on the south side of Links Road, Gorleston for 240 homes, a 60 bed care home and a Lidl supermarket with the only access being via Links road. The local infrastructure is not equipped to handle this development. The road will not cope with the level of traffic entering and leaving this development. There will be major traffic problems both on Links road and the roundabout on the A47.

This plan should either be moved to Beacon Park where the road infrastructure already exists or an entrance to the development should be via a new roundabout on the A47. Also the plan for the Lidl should be moved further south on the development and not on the corner of Links road and the A47.

The council need to listen to the  concerns of local residents as should local councillors who have so far remained silent on this proposal.
