This is an ongoing problem in my small town of Salem and really all over the state it creates a hazard for motorcycle riders especially but even the common driver can’t hit a patch of clippings that’s even slightly wet and could get severely injured and or possibly death (for motorcycles it’s death or possibly severe injury) this is a very easy problem to solve with a first time offender getting a petty fine ($10) and it going up after that 2nd time ($100) 3rd time ($500) 4th time ($1000 and possibly jail time or at lest points on license) there is many states that have laws like this but Indiana isn’t one of them and it’s time to get out of the 1900s and make the roadways safer for all I also feel that law enforcement should have no jurisdiction over whether they right it or not if they see it or someone calls it in and the mower is shut off the it shouldn’t be at there desecration it should be a mandatory fine (if the mower is running or the person is on the way to clean it up then they should be given the chance while the officer waits with his lights on indicating the road hazard) this has injured and killed way to many people for something so easily fixed
