On March 11th, 2013, large boards featuring graphic images of unborn fetuses and aborted children appeared on Tech green. In such a high-traffic area, the boards are not only offensive, but are also an unavoidable eyesore, especially with minors and families on campus. Although warning signs were present, they were merely 4 meters from the campaign- while the images displayed on the boards were visible from hundreds of yards away. Many students have found these boards to be not only a nuisance, but also a threat to the image of the university, due to the presence of the campaign during recruiting events.
This does not indicate a stance on the issue of abortion, but on the presence of the boards in a central campus area.
