Grant for nurses education from sri lanka

The Issue

The demand for the quality of nursing service to international level to improve the health of Sri Lanka.

Currently, there are only 30,000 in the nursing service, which should have 70,000. Every year more than ten nurses commit suicide due to depression.

It is very sad that nearly ten nurses have died of depression and many are under treatment. It has become a social problem to have to do night shifts ten days a month in the service where there are a lot of women.

Nursing education is very outdated and has not been updated to suit the modern world. The right to nursing education has been curtailed by the authorities without any boundaries. There is currently no adequate psychosocial condition to provide services to such a large number of patients.

I declare with responsibility that the government and health authorities, who expect full service from responsibilities and accountability, do not provide salary and welfare in relation to it. I hope that this will be looked into and action will be taken. It is no secret that nursing is not just a job but a very important service globally.
