Anakin Skywalker, one of the most powerful Jedi of his time, is given a seat in the Jedi council without being granted the rank of Jedi master. This turn of events upsets Anakin since he desperately wants to become a Jedi master, and believed joining the council would have granted him this promotion. Anakin explains this dilemma best by stating, "This is outrageous, It's unfair! How can you be on the council and not be a [Jedi] master?!".

The Jedi council's neglect of Anakin's desire to become a Jedi master only further cemented his distrust of the council. It could therefore be argued that Anakin's turn to the dark side, and the birth of Darth Vader, were in part due to his rejection from the rank of Jedi Master. 

Anakin should therefore be granted the rank of Jedi master. In doing so, countless people across the galaxy would be saved from the clutches of Darth Vader since he would have never existed.
