Get Rid of the New Boundaries At Lunch!!
Why this petition matters
As of this year, the boundaries for students has gotten even smaller, and will get even smaller on Monday, October 7. At this moment, the areas that students are allowed to be in are getting really packed and uncomfortable. As of Monday, October 7, there will be only the Quad and the Eagles Nest area available, and more hallways are becoming off limits. This is COMPLETELY unfair to students, as lunch is our only time to relax. The smaller it gets, the more a stare of turmoil becomes prevalent in this school. The school’s goal is apparently to “create a fun environment” for us to live out our last four years of childhood in. However, making lunch far more stressful strict is completely against that. It is incredibly stupid due to the fact that we are high school students, not 3rd graders. Sure, there are some misbehaving kids, but the VAST majority aren’t, and they shouldn’t have to pay the price for those who are. We would like our space back, for it is unfair and FAR too strict.
It feels like as the years go by, more and more rules are established into the school’s system, and because of this, more and more people hate school. If the mission is to create a fun environment for us high school students, then the rules should allow us to have that freedom; the ability to just spread out and have a nice, relaxing lunch. That’s all we want. I mean, is it really that hard?
