Keep our French Teacher

We, the undersigned, call upon the Granada High School Administrators and Livermore Board of Education to reverse the decision to terminate employment of Madame Anne Marie Etesse as French teacher in 2017.
- She is highly qualified and accredited to teach all five levels of French, and has been the driving force in the implementation of International Baccalaureate (IB) French.
- Since she started teaching, the overall aptitude of the students has improved as reflected in the AP French test scores which have gone from a 50% failing rate to all getting a passing score of 4 or higher.
- Her style of teaching and curriculum is innovative, inspiring and effective. It has facilitated strong bonds between not only her and her students, but between her students and exchange students.
- She is dedicated, compassionate, tenacious and goes out of her way to provide the best-suited textbooks and materials for her students that are above and beyond the generic, standard books provided by the school.
The positive influence that she exudes at this school continues to inspire a passion about the French language and culture, and she is beloved by her students. They would be devastated if she were to leave Granada.
