7 am classes are not beneficial to students because early morning classes makes students sleepy and it also affect their behaviors and their academic performances. Some schools have responded by starting their classes a little latter, but traditions are difficult to change & many of them have been reluctant to have their school starts early in the morning & end latter in the afternoon.

Sleep researchers have found that most adolescents & adults need more than 9 hours of sleep: Those who routinely get 6 hours of sleep/less are functioning just like someone who conveyed up 48 hours straight after getting 8 hours of sleep on a regular basis.

This confirms that students knows too, well, very few people, if there's any, get enough sleep in college. Health professionals says eight hours is an optimal amount of sleep, but this seldom happens in college. The effects of a lack of sleep include heightened stress, impaired memory, increased risk of heart problems and a weaker immune system. At 7:30 am classes makes a lack of sleep even worse. Say for example, it takes you an hour to get dressed, take a shower & eat breakfast in the morning. Adding to that, the amount of time it takes to get to class, you'd have to get up by least 6 am.
