Why we should get rid of school until COVID-19 blows over:

Recently, COVID-19 has spread to the U.S. during this pandemic. It has also spread to cities like Dallas, which we are right next to. This means that the Coronavirus could easily infect Grand Prairie schools including Harry S. Truman middle school. We are prone to getting the virus and our health is at stake. Teachers who live outside of GP can also bring it into our learning enviornment. Spring break is also a way the virus could enter our school as people may have came from other places where patients were quarantined. I belive that entering the school is a bad idea since kids our age make contact with each other a lot. Ex: Holding hands, dapping someone up (a handshake popular today), hugging, high-fiving, ect. This is one of the number one ways viruses are spread. To eliminate this behavior, taking out school in general is a smart idea. 

Solutions to missed education:

I hate to be the one to say it, but we still need to learn. Lots of schools are taking their classes online or sending home work for students to work on until this pandemic gets fixed. I think chatting online could work. Classes could Skype, join a voice call on Discord, or even exchange phone numbers and just call. The best part of using Skype or Discord is that students and teachers can use their work/school e-mails to sign up if not already signed up. 

I hope this gets taken into consideration as my peers and I do not want to get sick.
