Salgra Manda Sangma started this petition to Govt. of Meghalaya and

Meghalaya Adhoc School Teachers from Primary to Higher Secondary level receives lum sum and fixed salary up to Rs. 22,400/- (Rupees Twenty Two Thousand Four Hundred) only. They receive their salaries quarterly. Their salary is less  to 4th Grade Govt.  employees salaries.  In the mid of lockdown following pandemic COVID-19 the Govt. of Meghalaya declares to defer the salaries from 25% to 50% of all the cabinet ministers as well as government employees except Medical and Police Department and also those who fall under Group D of all government departments including Municipal Board. Meghalaya Adhoc School teachers are underprivileged teachers because they are receiving very less amount as their salary from the government. If the Govt. defer even 25% to 35% of their salary then they will be getting only 10-15 thousand.  They  have their families to feed,  children to pay fees of schools, colleges, universities, etc. Therefore,  the Govt. of Meghalaya should excuse or exempt Adhoc School Teachers from the purview of deferment of salaries of all sections considering their grievances and difficulties.
