The loss of a brilliant mind, an exceptional intellect, a compassionate soul has shaken the entire nation. The botch up by the state police and doctors was tolerated as we had pined our hopes on central agencies. While we all are with the family in their moments of immense pain and unbearable suffering, I am shattered at the way my fraternity, the medical community, has indulged in acts of omission and commission and possibly even acted under the influence of malafide individuals. 
Now the ball is in AIIMS’ court. It is incumbent on the forensic and other medical specialists and staff at AIIMS to perform their duty with honour, competence and in a manner that upholds the values of the profession and practise of medicine, and forensic medicine in particular. I am creating this petition to hold the AIIMS doctors and panel, that is involved with investigating the death of Bollywood actor SSR, accountable. Join me and lend your voice to uphold the credibility of the practise of forensic medicine and question the doctors at AIIMS, to keep them honest and to ensure that they play the crucial part that only they can to ensure that justice is done. As doctors, we all stand to lose our credibility and trust that the general public reposes in us, if the medical community involved with this investigation acts in a questionable manner. Time for the medical community to stand up in the quest for the truth!
